What is the Child Care Subsidy?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is an Australian Government subsidy that helps eligible families with the cost of early childhood education and care. Belrose Kindergarten is an approved childcare service.
Am I Eligible for CCS?
Eligibility depends on your family’s individual circumstances. Generally, families need to:
- care for a child who meets the CCS age requirements
- use an approved childcare service
- be responsible for paying the childcare fees
- ensure their child meets immunisation requirements

How Much CCS Can I Receive?
The amount of CCS your family receives depends on several factors, including your family income, circumstances, the age of your child and the type and amount of care used.
From January 2026, the Australian Government’s 3 Day Guarantee gives CCS eligible families access to at least 72 hours of subsidised childcare per fortnight for each child, regardless of their level of work, study or other recognised participation.
Some families can receive up to 100 hours of subsidised care per fortnight, depending on their circumstances and recognised participation
How Do I Apply?
Families can apply for Child Care Subsidy through Centrelink, usually through their Centrelink online account linked to myGov.
We recommend applying for CCS before your child commences care and ensuring your family income and personal details are kept up to date.
Once your child is enrolled at Belrose Kindergarten, you will also need to confirm your enrolment with the Centre through Centrelink.
