Ever since our eldest child started at the centre many years ago, I speak glowingly about sending our kids to Belrose Kindergarten. The combination of great long serving staff and relatively small number of children is wonderful. Every day my daughters experience a wide range of activities that give them great joy. They are learning so much about the world around them, confidence in themselves, friendship, and academic foundations. The staff truly know and care about my children, catering activities to delight and challenge them. The consistency, family values, and community spirit equates to a happy and safe environment that is evident in our children as they begin to explore and develop their own identities outside of the home. From teething through toilet training, health concerns, and daunting development stages, I have found the centre very open and easy to talk to, proactive, helpfully suggesting ideas from their great wealth of experience, and supportive of our own preferences, working with our family in providing fulfilled early years for our children

We have been bringing our youngest child to Belrose Kindy for 2 years and never regretted it. We wish we had brought our first son here because he would have loved it too. The outdoor play area is beautiful and sits under a huge jacaranda tree with lots of coverage and the indoor area doesn't feel too big and overwhelming for little people. I love the way that the whole family is involved in running the kindy and as such, the staff turnover is virtually non-existent, this was very important to me as I left my first child at a big, clinical daycare centre that seemed to have staff turnover every 3 months - just as my child formed an attachment to someone, they would leave! I can not fault Belrose Kindy, it always feels like you are leaving your child with your own family and friends you trust.

A big thankyou to all the staff that have looked after Riley. Belrose Kindergarten really is a special place , a shining light in amongst all the new and huge day care centres. Simon and I often comment that we are glad we are not starting out with Riley now as I just don't think he would have had such a positive experience at the big centres. All of you have done an excellent job with Riley and while we don't know what the future holds for him, we do know that he is a very happy and personable. As he laughs, jumps and skips around the place having a good time. We all know that Kindy played a great part in getting him to that stage.

I would like to re-iterate my thanks to Rhian and the Belrose Kindy team over the years. Our kids have both loved their time there and made some great (longer term) friends along the way. The teachers have always been professional and welcoming and we have enjoyed getting to know you all over the years, both from within the Callagher family and outside of it. The fact so many teachers have stayed for so long {and continue to come back) is a credit to the family culture that you have built at the centre and indeed I think has flowed through to the children in the way they interact with you and each other. The early years are very formative in a child’s life, and for the parents it is sometimes hard to trust others to spend time with your kids. But we have been very happy and confident of the benefits that our kids have had being at Belrose Kindy. One highlight for me was having them come home knowing a number of words in sign language. I wish you all the best for the future and hearing stories from our friends who we have recommended Belrose Kindy to for their younger ones… And we are sad this chapter of our life (with your team) is over. .

When we started our son at Belrose Kindergarten when he was 13 months old, we were, as first time parents, quite anxious about leaving him with someone else (or perhaps that was just mum). We could not be happier with the care provided to our son. All the staff at Belrose Kindergarten have been wonderful and supportive. Our rather shy boy has developed into a very happy and confident child and we believe the Belrose Kindergarten environment and staff have significantly contributed to that. There are going to be a few tears shed at the end of the year when we say goodbye as we head off to school (or perhaps that will be just mum, again).

My 3 year old son started at Belrose Kindy 9 months ago when we moved house and into a new suburb and my second 1 year old son started 2 months ago. We had heard about the day care from a friend of a friend who raved about it and about how her son had become so much more confident in himself since starting there. I have found that Belrose Kindy has a very family orientated attitude and they are very focused on the individual needs of the children, taking a special interest in each child and adapting to their needs. The children of all age groups are often socialising together, and I have found that this gives my children the social skills to be able to play and interact with older and younger children. My older son settled in quickly after starting and for the first time in years, I was able to leave him in the morning happily playing instead of hanging onto me and crying as I left. He has come out of his shell and I can see that he feels that he is in a very safe and happy environment when he is there. Both my boys and I have developed good personal relationships with all of the carers, which is important to us as a family, as we don’t have extended family in Australia. I highly recommend the day care to anyone who asks, and I am very thankful that we have found such a great environment for my boys to learn and grow.

Belrose Kindergarten has provided excellent care for our gentle and sensitive daughter for over three years. From the very first day of kindy, when everyone was feeling understandably anxious, to present day the wonderful staff have been immensely supportive and caring. We look forward to the daily feedback on our daughter’s progress and her friendships. And if ever there is something we would like to discuss, we have always found the staff to be very receptive and pro-active in managing the issue. Our daughter looks forward to going to kindy and her time there has prepared her well for the next step, big school. We are very lucky that our daughter has been able to attend the family owned and run Belrose Kindergarten and we feel as though our family has become a part of theirs.

We wanted to say an enormous thank you for ensuring both our boys have had the best possible early childhood. Both Harry and Charlie have always enjoyed going to “KINDY”.
